There will be two new David Bowie releases arriving on Record Store Day 2020. Parlophone have confirmed the arrivals as a David Bowie Is It Any Wonder? and ChangesNowBowie.
David Bowie Is It Any Wonder? is a streaming EP filled with unreleased and rare tracks from the Starman. While the other is a release of the ChangesNowBowie session.
Parlophone has also marked today, what would’ve been Bowie’s 73rd birthday, by sharing an unheard acoustic version of the singer’s iconic hit ‘The Man Who Sold The World’. It’s the 50th anniversary of the composition and recording of the track.
It’s the first release from ChangesNowBowie, which has been widely bootlegged for years but never available on record. There will be limited numbers available on CD and vinyl at this year’s Record Store Day.
The collection of nine songs is a recording of some mostly acoustic versions from sessions in preparation for Bowie’s huge performance in Madison Square Garden for his 50th birthday. There has been no official tracklist shared but you can find the bootleg tracklist below.
David Bowie Is It Any Wonder? EP will be released as instalments with it’s six songs being shared weekly from January 17th onwards. Again, an official tracklist is not yet available.
