Stream David Bowie’s new 1999 live album ‘Something In The Air’

A brand new David Bowie live album, Something In The Air, has been released to all major streaming platforms.

The latest release comes amid a series of different archival offerings from Bowie’s vast back catalogue, the most recent coming in the shape of the Young Americans 45th anniversary vinyl reissue.

Something in the Air (Live Paris 99), the 15-track LP which was recorded during a 1999 performance at the Elysée Montmarte in Paris, France and marked a significant period in the life of David Bowie. While the performance itself was typically dazzling, the show arrived shortly after Bowie was awarded the Commandeurs of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, what is France’s highest artistic honour.

In a set which was jam-packed with classic hits, the show was also a moment of reflection for Bowie who revisited a number of his past hits—some of which the Starman hadn’t performed live in decades.

While the likes of ‘Life On Mars‘, ‘Rebel Rebel’ and ‘China Girl’ all remained, Bowie also rolled through classic tracks such as ‘Can’t Help Thinking About Me’, ‘Word on a Wing’, ‘Drive-In Saturday’ and more.
