After an extremely painful two-year delay, Cruel World Festival has marked its return in an emphatic fashion.
Originally planned for May 2020, the event has managed to keep hold of its major booking and, in the meanwhile, confirm a number of new additions too. The festival will see rock music behemoths Blondie, Devo, Bauhaus and Morrissey all take headline slots.
While the festival line-up has remained largely unchanged, organisers have been forced to rethink their location plans. Taking place in the Los Angeles area, the festival will now be moved to Pasadena’s Brookside Park after originally hoping to take place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson.
Alongside the names at the top of the bill, Cruel World Festival will also include the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, The Psychadelic Furs, Violent Femmes, Public Image Ltd., Soft Kill and more.
See the full festival line-up below. the pre-sale for tickets is slotted to take place 10am, local time, on Friday.
Tickets are priced up at $159-$179 for general admission, and $349 for VIP. And, this is Hollywood after all, the festival is also offering $549 for 21-and-over Clubhouse passes. If you’re desperate to splash out further, an eye-watering $799 for Clubhouse Platinum passes are also available.
