The man, from Warrington, was said to be found looking unwell by festival staff who were patrolling the site. After informing the on-site medical staff, the teenager was transported to be examined by a doctor in the nearby medical tent.
After assessing his situation, the doctor insisted that the man required urgent medical attention and issued that he was immediately transported to Warrington District General Hospital via an ambulance.
Sadly, however, the 19-year-old man died in hospital.
Detective Inspector Alistair Hinze said: “There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A file will prepared for the coroner and our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.”
A Creamfields spokeswoman added: “We are deeply saddened to hear of this tragic accident. We send our deepest condolences to his loved ones and we continue to work closely with the authorities.”
