Coldplay’s Chris Martin covers David Bowie’s ‘Life On Mars’ during live-streamed set
Chris Martin, the leading man of Coldplay, live-streamed a special performance form his home yesterday as the world continues to self-isolate amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The ongoing crisis has seen millions of people across the globe lock themselves in the house to avoid further spreading of the pandemic.
Martin used his Instagram Live video to explain that he and the other members of the band were “stuck in different countries” as a result of the global pandemic.
He then began a 30-minute broadcast, called ‘Together At Home’, where the frontman took song requests from fans and spoke with his fans indirectly as he sat behind the piano.
Martin began the performance with ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’ before jumping on the keys and performing Coldplay hits ‘Trouble’ and ‘Viva La Vida’. But the real prize moment came when Martin took on David Bowie’s masterpiece ‘Life On Mars’.
It acts as another brief reprieve from the oppressive nature of the ongoing pandemic. We’re hoping it brought a smile to a few faces. Watch the ‘Together At Home’ session below:
