Coachella 2026: Lambrini Girls forced to pull out due to fractured neck and acute brain injury to singer

Lambrini Girls have confirmed they have pulled out of Coachella after singer Phoebe Lunny sustained a serious injury on tour.

The English duo were notably absent from the line-up splits, which were unveiled by the Californian festival earlier this week, and they have now explained their withdrawal in a statement on social media.

Lunny sustained a fractured neck and acute brain injury while in Australia, which was initially misdiagnosed. The vocalist has been ordered not to fly for six weeks, but expects to return to the stage in late May.

In addition to pulling out of Coachella, Lambrini Girls have also rescheduled their North American tour, which will now see them visit Brooklyn, Boston, Toronto, and Montreal in June.

Then, in late September, they will return to North America for shows in Indianapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Kansas City, St Louis, Atlanta and Asheville.

Addressing fans, Lunny began on a positive note, writing on Instagram, “To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the States. There are so many good folk who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about.”

Lunny then shared how “seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together” at shows is “my greatest joy”, before sadly revealing that euphoria would be put on hold in the short term due to injury.

The singer continued regarding Coachella, “We are so gutted, guys. If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play next year instead.”

Lunny added, “Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank fuck LOL”.

Coachella is set to take place between April 10th and 12th, with Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G headlining the festival. Across the two weekends, David Byrne, Iggy Pop, Geese, The Strokes, Addison Rae, Wet Leg, Anyma, Laufey, Blood Orange, The XX, Teddy Swims, Young Thug and Little Simz will also be appearing.

Additionally, it was confirmed earlier this week that Jack White will perform a last-minute set during the first weekend of the Californian festival.
