CMAT announces her biggest ever UK and Ireland shows
In the lead-up to her third studio album, Euro-Country, CMAT has announced a run of her biggest-ever headline shows, including London’s Alexandra Palace.
The ‘Stay for Something’ singer took to social media to announce the shows, writing, “Come and see me, CMAT, and The Very Sexy CMAT Band, play our BIGGEST SHOWS EVER next year!”
The Irish musician will begin at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on March 7th, before travelling to Brighton and Manchester. After this, she will play at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace in London on March 13th.
A little while later, CMAT will play St Anne’s Park in Dublin on May 30th, and Virgin Media Park in Cork on June 20th.
These dates will follow on from a triumphant Glastonbury set at the Pyramid Stage earlier this summer. The singer has opened up about the huge event, admitting previously, “When I walked off the Pyramid Stage, I walked behind a sofa and collapsed and hid away.”
Far Out were on the ground at one of her latest performances at Green Man Festival, which drew one of the biggest headline crowds in the festival’s history. In a glowing review, Far Out wrote, “CMAT is one of the best performers in recent history. She’s hilarious, she’s quick-witted, she can make anything sound beautiful, and any crowd member, young or old, rediscover their penchant for fun.”
Her latest album, Euro-Country, is set for a 29th August release. She has already released the titular single, as well as ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me’, ‘The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’, and ‘Running/Planning’.
The forthcoming LP is the follow-up to the singer’s 2023 breakout record, Crazymad, For Me, which saw her nominated for the Mercury Prize.
CMAT and band will next perform on August 24th at All Points East festival in London, on a line-up curated by The Maccabbees.
