Chance Perdomo, ’Gen V’ actor, dead at 27
After starring in shows such as Sabrina and Gen V, actor Chance Perdomo has passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident at 27. The news was confirmed earlier today by his family.
In a statement given by the family, they discussed their sons’ passion for the arts, saying, “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest”.
Perdomo had begun his career working in various short films before being involved in the After series of films. His most recent big-screen role was in 2023 with the movie After Everything, playing the role of Landon Gibson.
In addition to his work in cinema, Perdomo was becoming known for his roles on various streaming series, most prominently his role in the show Gen V. A spin-off series to The Boys, Perdomo became part of a young coalition of superheroes going to a university in the hopes of becoming a member of the Vought International’s elite superhero team, where he starred as the magnetic superhero Andre Anderson
The producers of Gen V have also released a statement regarding the actor’s passing, stating, “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person”.
Perdomo also was best known for starring in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where he played the recurring role of Ambrose Spellman. Being Sabrina Spellman’s cousin, Ambrose served as her partner throughout the series, being a warlock who was placed under house arrest after attempting to blow up The Vatican.
Despite his young age, Perdomo was already receiving accolades for his work onscreen. In 2018, his role in the BBC Three series Killed By My Debt gave him his first nomination for the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ Bafta. As of yet, there has been no word about what caused the tragic accident.
