Bruce Springsteen to headline Kamala Harris rallies in swing states
Ahead of the 2024 US Election, heartland rocker Bruce Springsteen is set to headline various rallies for Vice President Kamala Harris as she bids to enter The White House on November 5th.
‘The Boss’ will first lead the massive crowd, kicking off on October 24th in Macon, Georgia and another on October 28th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both dates are meant to help swing the election towards Harris and Vice President nominee Tim Walz as they face off against former President Donald Trump and JD Vance.
This follows after rapper Eminem was announced to introduce Barack Obama at a Harris rally in Detroit on October 22nd. Thus far, no dates for Springsteen have been mentioned, but the tour is most likely to pass through other massive states such as Wisconsin, Arizona, and North Carolina. Baring the slogan ‘If We Vote, We Win,’ further rally dates are set to be announced in the near feature.
Springsteen previously endorsed Harris in a video message earlier this month. The rock legend had cited Harris’ sense of inclusion amongst Americans with different backgrounds, saying, “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone, regardless of class, religion, race, your political point of view or sexual identity, and they want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all.”
The New Jersey songwriter also said that many of the policies Harris plans to introduce align with the version of the US that he has written about throughout his career. Furthermore, the message came with him airing his grievances regarding Trump, claiming that he is “the most dangerous” political candidate he has seen in his lifetime.
Musicians supporting Kamala Harris
However, Springsteen is far from the only musician to praise Harris’ policies. Taking to his website to declare his preferred candidate, Neil Young said that he had agreed with what Harris stood for, calling her “a kind, considerate American” and supported her plans to take on the billionaire class when it comes to paying taxes.
Stevie Nicks previously urged her fans to vote this election season in a post on Instagram, encouraging them to “choose the candidate that speaks to you and your beliefs. Your vote in this election may be one of the most important things you ever do.”
Other musicians that have been vocal about their support for Harris and dislike for Trump have included Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Linda Ronstadt and Foo Fighters.
