We reported yesterday that The Boss was back with his first new album in 5 years and now there’s a new track. Listen to Bruce Springsteen’s newest single ‘Hello Sunshine’ below.
The song is a lilting tip of the hat to a country road so often traveled by Springsteen. Always touted as a true American storyteller, this new song is another chapter in the book of Bruce.
In a press release Springsteen says of the album, “This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character-driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements, it’s a jewel box of a record.”
Springsteen also revealed that he co-produced the album with Ron Aniello, and it features appearances from an array of incredible artists. Those included are Jon Brion (on celeste, Moog, and farfisa), Patti Scialfa, early E Street Band member David Sancious, Charlie Giordano, Soozie Tyrell, and more.
The press release goes on to say the LP is influenced by: “Southern California pop records of the late ’60s and early ’70s” and dives into a “sweeping range of American themes, of highways and desert spaces, of isolation and community and the permanence of home and hope.”
