Bruce Springsteen announces new US tour and says country is “under attack by our wannabe king”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have confirmed details of their new US leg of the Land of Hope and Dreams tour.

The run of dates are set to begin on March 31st at the Target Center in Minneapolis, and will keep him on the road until he closes it up at the Nationals Park in Washington DC on May 27th.

In a video message to announce the run, Springsteen told his fans, “Brothers and sisters, fans, friends, and good folk from coast to coast, we are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair, the cavalry is coming.”

The announcement continued, “Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, DC, for the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.”

On a serious note, Springsteen used the video statement to condemn President Donald Trump and called for the tour as a means of unity during divided times.

He passionately added, “We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defence of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution and our sacred American dream, all of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, DC.”

Springsteen finished his rallying cry by stating, “Everyone, regardless of where you stand or what you believe in, is welcome, so come on out and join the United Free Republic of E Street Nation for an American spring of Rock ‘n’ Rebellion! I’ll see you there.”

‘The Boss’ carried out the first leg of the Land of Hope and Dreams tour in 2025, performing across stadiums in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Each night of the run saw Springsteen tell the crowd before playing ‘Land of Hope and Dreams‘, “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, and has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”

This led to Trump retaliating by launching into a rant on Truth Social. He called Springsteen “highly overrated” before adding, “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy”.

Springsteen, despite Trump’s comments, has continued to be one of the most vocal critics of the administration in the arts.

Last month, he shared the heartbreaking ‘Streets of Minneapolis‘ in honour of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, who were both killed by ICE agents in January. Springstteen sings on the track,  “There were bloody footprints, Where mercy should have stood, And two dead left to die on snow-filled streets, Alex Pretti and Renee Good.”
