Bruce Springsteen shares live recording of ‘Reason To Believe’ from 2005

Bruce Springsteen has been dipping into the archives and has unearthed a live recording taken from a performance in Sweden.

The show, which took place in Stockholm in 2005, becomes the latest sample to be included in Springsteen’s ongoing series of archive performances. All of the tapes to date have been shared as downloads online.

‘Reason To Believe’ first appeared on Springsteen’s sixth studio album, Nebraska, and arrived as the closing track of The Boss’ critically acclaimed 1982 record.

The recording Springsteen has shared from 2005 is taken from his solo, acoustic tour Devils and Dust and is a heavily stripped-down rendition of the track. arrangements of songs from his entire career.

The song marks a particularly experimental period of his career and, on ‘Reason To Believe’, he sings into a ‘bullet mic’ which distorts his vocals.
