Brad Pitt joins Lena Dunham’s “psychological exploration” of Oasis’ Noel and Liam Gallagher
Brad Pitt took part in Lena Dunham’s “psychological exploration” of Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
The live event, which took place in Los Angeles, welcomed ‘special guests’ for the night which will include multiple readings and songs. The event was named ‘Champagne Superanalysis’.
Those special guests included Pitt—who allegedly opened the event by entering the stage and declaring “let’s do this, you cunts”— also saw contributions from the likes of producer Spike Jonze, actress Angela Trimbur, artist Penelope Gazin, singer Lisa Loeb, musician Julianna Barwick, actor Jordan Black, composer Nick Mancini and more.
The basis of this evening was sparked by the hit 2016 documentary Supersonic which explored the journey of Oasis and unveiled the deep-seated difficulties of the relationship between Noel and Liam Gallagher. The idea of ‘Champagne Superanalysis’ was dreamt up by Dunham having watched the film, she tweeted: “I watched the Oasis documentary and I have a LOT of big opinions about the Gallagher brothers’ relationship!” What ensued was a dialogue between Dunham and Lee to plan the event.
“A psychological exploration of the Gallagher Brothers through song and readings,” the description read. “When you arrive at Will Call on the night of the show, seats will be assigned first come first served, from the front of the theatre to the back. If you want to sit closer, be sure to come earlier.”
