Bombay Bicycle Club to play special one-off headline show at Lido Festival

Bombay Bicycle Club have announced that they are set to play a special one-off headline show at this year’s Lido Festival.

The band are celebrating two decades together by returning back to their roots and performing their 2009 debut album, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose, in full on July 14th.

On top of this, they will start the day off by also playing their follow-up record Flaws in full during a special afternoon set, before taking to the stage again that evening to play the seminal debut album

In a statement released when the news was revealed, Bombay Bicycle Club said: “We had such a great time last summer playing in Victoria Park that when we were asked to come back to headline Lido, we jumped at the chance.”

The band added: “We wanted to do something different as it’s 20 years since we started the band, so we’re going to play our first two albums in full – Flaws in the afternoon and then I Had The Blues in the evening.”

Speaking of the significance of this event, they continued: “These are such important albums to us and the place they both hold in our fans’ hearts has always meant a lot to us. To have the opportunity to revisit some songs we haven’t played in a long time and perform the whole of both albums is something we can’t wait to share with you.”

However, Bombay Bicycle Club will not be performing alone on the day, as they are set to be joined by a stacked line-up of support including electronic group Metronomy, playing their first UK show in three years and their only gig of 2026.

In addition, they will also be joined by artists Alice Phoebe Lou, Billie Marten, and Lucy Rose, with more acts yet to be announced to close out the weekend of the Tower Hamlets festival.

CMAT will open the proceedings by headlining on the first day of July 12th, and will be followed by Maribou State the next day.

Tickets for the third day of Lido Festival, headlined by Bombay Bicycle Club, will go on sale from January 30th at 10am local time, while presale begins from January 28th at 10am local time.
