Bombay Bicycle Club release first new single in five years
Bombay Bicycle Club have ended their five-year hiatus and returned with their new single ‘Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)’.
The new material arrives as the first song the band has release since their 2014 album So Long, See You Tomorrow, a record which ultimately prompted band members to focus on side projects after its release.
The band premiered the new track while appearing as part of BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds show with Annie Mac. Speaking about the song, they explained that group have gone “back-to-basics” in their songwriting approach.
“We’re going away next week to finish the rest of our record, so it’ll be out next year,” the band added in reference to their fifth studio album to date.
“Our new single, ‘Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)’, is now out,” the band said in a statement posted on social media. “We’re so excited to be sharing new music after five years away. Recording it earlier this year reminded us all of the joy of working together on something we love.”
