Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke announces new album with single ‘Streets Been Talkin”
Kele Okereke has announced his new album Fatherland, set for release October 6 via BMG.
Fatherland sees Okereke challenge himself musically in what he’s described as the most adventurous chapter of his ever-evolving career, and includes duets with Olly Alexander of Years & Years and Corinne Bailey Rae. This is the Bloc Party frontman’s third solo album, but first under his full name, and a significant sonic departure from adrenalised electronics of his previous two solo records, The Boxer and Trick.
‘Streets Been Talkin” from the forthcoming album is available now to stream and download. The track “was one of the first tracks I wrote for the album,” says Kele. “It’s a bittersweet ode to romance and the passing of time.”
