Billie Eilish has officially announced the follow-up to her acclaimed debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
The 19-year-old star’s sophomore album will be entitled Happier Than Ever and it’s set for release on July 30th via Darkroom/Interscope records. The singer has also announced that she will be releasing a new single from the album this Thursday (29th April). The single will debut at 5pm UK time and 9am PT.
The previously released singles of ‘my future’ and ‘Therefore I Am’ will also be included on the record according to the press release, which also states that Billie Eilish shares songwriting credits with her brother, Finneas, on the album as she did on her debut. Finneas has also, once again, produced the LP.
The singer took to Instagram to mark the forthcoming release with an excitable post, stating: “Mt new album Happier Than Ever out July 20th. This is my favourite then I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and eager for you to hear it.”
Happier Than Ever will also be available as deluxe and super deluxe box sets, as well as in two exclusive colour-way vinyl, cassette, photo-book and CD.
Earlier this year, the singer hinted that the music has been deeply influenced by the pandemic, which she wished to reflect in her creative process. This is indicative of the maturity that Eilish couples with the visceral edge of youth that has captivated a legion of fans.
