The fourteenth edition of the Rome Film Festival will honour Bill Murray with the lifetime achievement award, it has been revealed.

Revealing a sneak preview of the event, the festival has also confirmed that filmmaker Wes Anderson—who has directed Murray in some of his most iconic roles—will present the actor with the award.

Anderson, who has directed Murray in films such as The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, Grand Budapest Hotel and more, will also take part in an onstage conversation in Rome with Murray about the actor’s career.

“The artistic director of the festival, Antonio Monda, in agreement with Laura Delli Colli, head of Fondazione Cinema per Roma, and Francesca Via, General Manager, announced that the festival which will take place from October 17th to 27th 2019 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica,” they explained in a statement.

The complete lineup will be announced at a press conference to be held on Friday October 4th and the full event will take place in the immediate weeks that follow.
