The final single to arrive from Big Thief before their latest album U.F.O.F lands on earth on Friday 3rd May, ‘Century’ is a sumptuous and gorgeous melody-driven lilt toward serenity. It’s a very special Track of the Day.

As we await the third studio album from the band we’re given another dose of the upcoming record, following releases ‘Cattails’ and the title track, and it’s a heavy course of life-giving guitar licks and hazy basslines that allow Lenker’s vocals to do their thing.

In the States, the song was aired for the first time at 11:00 a.m ET/8:00 a.m. PT across a host of different radio networks. It was given a spin on KCRW Los Angeles, WFUV New York, WFPK Louisville, WYMS Milwaukee, and KCMP Minneapolis.

But back in Blighty, we can’t get enough of this band. Big Thief have the ability to feel as warm and comforting as Nan’s cup of tea while still feeling it may be laced with something stronger and the spinning world of our consciousness may be compromised at any point.

What we’re basically saying is: keep listening to Big Thief. Start with ‘Century’ below.
