Beach House share new single 'Alien' as well as a brand new "visualizer"

Beach House have released a new song, ‘Alien’ which comes with its very own “visualizer”. The track appears as the B-side on a new 7″ single to ‘Lose Your Smile’ which is taken from their latest album 7. It had to be our Track of the Day.

Landing firmly in the shoegaze/dreampop/nu-gaze mish-mash pile the song is littered with textural references and, as ever, highlights the Beach House’s incredible ear and ability to create soundscapes through your speakers.

The accompanying visuals are as trippy as can be, we genuinely suggest you take a deep breath before engaging as it has a habit of rendering one’s eyes as useless gelatinous globules of nothingness.

The band shared a new video for ‘Drunk in LA’ which was directed by Spaceman 3’s Pete Kember and is definitely worth revisiting.
