Beabadoobee covers Daniel Johnston song ‘Walking the Cow’

Beabadoobee has shared a special cover of Daniel Johnston song ‘Walking The Cow’.

The British singer-songwriter chose to cover the track which featured on Johnston’s acclaimed 1983 album Hi, How Are You?, as part of a recent session for streaming service Apple Music.

She told the platform: “I chose to cover Daniel Johnston’s ‘Walking the Cow’ because he is one of my favourite songwriters of all time. Doing that song reminded me how pure and honest his writing can be.”

Bea recently announced her highly anticipated debut album Fake It Flowers although a release date is still unknown and also shared the barnstorming lead single ‘Care’.

“This song has end of ’90s movie vibes, like you’re driving down a highway,” Bea says of the new track. “It is pretty much me being angry at society, or people around me who I just don’t think know me and don’t care. I don’t want you to feel fucking sorry for me. I just want you to understand what I’ve been through.”

Listen to the Apple Music session below which features both ‘Care’ and ‘Walking The Cow’.
