A new book is set to be published which offer a potential chance to reveal the identity of mysterious street artist Banksy.
The book, entitled Banksy Captured, collects a series of behind-the-scenes photos taken by Steve Lazarides, his former agent and driver.
“Banksy Captured is the new book by Steve Lazarides, the person by Banksy’s side during his rise to infamy,” the book’s description states. “These never before seen images, shot by Lazarides, document the fascinating and anarchic journey behind the scenes of the mysterious man who has become one of the world’s most renowned artists.”
Apparently, the book explains how Lazarides worked with Banksy “for 11 glorious years, during which time we broke every rule in the rule book, along with a fair few laws,” in an excerpt published in The Independent.
Lazarides also goes on to explain that he “only became part of [the art world] because Banksy catapulted the movement into the stratosphere.”
When talking about the pictures chosen for the book, Lazarides claims: “You’ll find some of my favourite images during my time documenting Banksy. These images were from a period in time when we ran riot, tearing down the art establishment.
He added: “I love from my 30 years as a photographer. It’s pretty random, but so am I.”
“It was a ride – however, I’m glad I’m out of it and about to enter the next ride.”
