Ariana Grande, the former long-term girlfriend of rapper Mac Miller, has penned an emotional tribute following his tragic death.
Miller was found dead at his Los Angeles home after an apparent overdose, a coroner confirmed. He was just 26-years-old. The rapper shot to fame in 2011 with his debut album but struggled with substance abuse, even openly rapping about his struggles in multiple songs.
Grande and Miller ended their relationship in may 2018, Grande releasing a statement at the time citing their “toxic” time together after what was undoubtedly a whirlwind romance.
Now, while posting a video of Miller on her social media, Grande wrote: “I adored you from the day I met you when I was 19, and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore.”
“You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to.”
