Arctic Monkeys have been left bitterly frustrated having missed out on tickets before discovering that touts are reselling them for £4,840 just minutes later.
The band, who have since added new dates to their September tour having seen tickets sell out in rapid time, can now find their precious tickets being advertised on Viagogo for as much as £4,000.
Having initially being listed between £45-£80 via respected ticket sellers, touts have now listed the same tickets at £100-800 for gigs in Manchester, Dublin and Newcastle. Astonishingly, a level one ticket for London’s O2 Arena in September would set fans back £4,840.
One fan tweeted: “F****** infuriates me that I haven’t been able to get hold of Arctic Monkeys tickets yet there’s selfish c**** who’ve got them selling them for £500+ touts are the worst people on the planet.”
Another wrote: “So #ArcticMonkeys that Tout ban hasn’t really worked has it”.
The huge demand for tickets and the boys’ expensive tastes means that the addition of new dates was a no-brainer, the added dates will make many fans very, very happy indeed. New dates are in London, Birmingham, Dublin and Newcastle.
