Arctic Monkeys pulled out all the stops for their second sell out performance in Manchester.
Having already introduced ‘Dancing Shoes’ for the first time in years the night before, Arctic Monkeys decided to give ‘Science Fiction’ a run out for the first time as their UK tour begins to gain on that already ferocious pace.
The track, which is taken from the band’s most recent album Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino, was sandwiched in between ‘Knee Socks’ and ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ towards the end of the performance.
The band, returning to the UK for the first time in years, are touring their new record Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino and produced a rousing set of their extensive back catalogue.
Opening up with ‘Four Out of Five’, the Monkeys then rolled into ‘Brianstorm’ before ‘Snap Out of It’, ‘Crying Lightning’, ‘Teddy Picker’ and ‘505’ followed in quick pursuit.
An encore of ‘Star Treatment’, ‘Arabella’ and ‘R U Mine’ was enough to leave the Manchester crowd duly satisfied. Here’s some fan footage:
