Arctic Monkeys continue to ramp up excitement and have now announced a string of shows in the US.
The dates, which include a NYC show at Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium, Nashville, and Boston, follows the unveiling in January of their 2018 festival schedule amid heavy speculation that the band are ready to release the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2013’s album AM.
While no announcement has yet been made, fans have been waiting for news of a new album for since Alex Turner was photographed reunited in his hometown with his bandmates in December 2016, when he confirmed they had begun work on their next record.
More recently, bassist O’Mally seemingly confirmed that the Monkeys have been in the studio this month and says the new record will be out next year because “if it isn’t, we’ve got problems”.
The band, who are thought to be planning a series of homecoming shows in Yorkshire this summer, announced their return to the stage by sharing a huge run of festival dates throughout 2018 which will see them cover the globe. So far, they have only one UK show in the pipeline which is headlining Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival.
