Arcade Fire vocalist Win Butler has teased fans by previewing a snippet of new music through his Instagram page.
The Canadian rocker shared an eight-second clip which appeared on his Instagram stories. The teaser only featured an acoustic guitar and without lyrics, however. Most intriguingly, Butler provided the following caption: “Sometimes it takes 20 years to write a song.”
Whether this is a piece of upcoming Arcade Fire music or, perhaps, potential solo music is unknown. However, it has been three years now since the release of the band’s last record, Everything Now, which would make a new release more than welcome.
Yesterday, Far Out exclusively revealed how Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry is one of a host of names who has signed up to take part in La Blogotheque’s ‘Stay Away’ shows. Given the fact that La Blogotheque are not able to record any of their trademark ‘Take Away’ shows on the streets of Paris amid the coronavirus pandemic, the institution will live stream their renewed series through their Instagram account and have already featured the likes of Kevin Morby and Kelcey from Local Natives.
The shows will take place every day at 7pm CEST, 6pm London time, 1pm NY time and 10 am LA time, will see a different artist perform a relaxed show as well as take questions from some of the viewers.
