Angel Olsen debuts two brand new tracks during her latest stream
Angel Olsen has premiered two brand new tracks during her ‘Still at Home’ live stream concert for fans.
Last week, Olsen shared on her Instagram a gorgeous cover of Roxy Music’s 1982 track ‘More Than This’ which features on their record, Avalon, which she once again took to covering in her latest stream. She also took on Bruce Springsteen track ‘Tougher On The Rest’ which Olsen had covered previously on her 2017 Phases compilation record.
The two new tracks are still very much in their infancy as they don’t even have working titles as of yet and Olsen openly admitted during the stream that she hasn’t even memorised the lyrics fully yet. One of the tracks is guitar-driven in its current form whereas the other track is piano-based.
The artist also treated fans to a number of special highlights such as ‘Some Things Cosmic’ from her debut EP Strange Cacti from 2010 as well as Burn Your Fire for No Witness number ‘Unfucktheworld’.
Olsen detailed the event saying, Still At Home: An Evening of Songs on Piano and Guitar will be a ticketed livestream event, which will see her perform some old and new songs. “Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 day of show with proceeds going to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Effort and directly to my touring band and crew who, like so many artists and musicians, have been affected.”
