Alex Turner debuts new look during Arctic Monkeys' performance of 'The Ultracheese'

Alex Turner rolled out his new look during Arctic Monkeys’ performance of ‘The Ultracheese’ live on The Late Show.

Introduced by show host Stephen Colbert, the Sheffield-born band rolled into the Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino album finisher as Turner croons and slides across the stage. To add a little more swooning mise en scène to the evening, Monkeys switched up the camera to black and white before Matt Helders got proceedings underway.

Here’s the clip:

The TV performance fell on the same day that the band chose to release the new video for album title track ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’.

The video for the track was directed by Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown and shot in and around Reno, Nevada.

The title track to the album has been given its video and with the newest post from the band, with the introduction ‘Mark’ who is fast becoming a cult figure among Arctic Monkeys fans. The lead image suggested that Alex Turner may be playing the central character of the song Mark. With an old phone to his ear and bathed in neon.
