Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has reunited with his ex-bandmate Flea for the first public appearance in over a decade.
Since announcing the decision to leave Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2009, Frusciante remained under the radar and purposely kept himself out of the public eye. The extent of which epitomised when the guitarist decided to avoid the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
Having put out a series of instrumental and experimental solo releases, Frusciante’s output has been much more relaxed since leaving the band for the second time.
John and Flea enjoying some boxing tonight at the @staplescenterla this makes me happy. Look at them smile at each other. ❤️ #johnfrusciante #flea #rhcp #redhotchilipeppers #staplescenter
