Actor and photographer Brad Everett Young dead at 46 following car crash

Brad Everett Young, an actor and renowned photographer, has died aged 46 following a car crash in Los Angeles.

Young was killed while driving on the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles following a collision with a car which was driving on the wrong side of the road, his publicist Paul Christensen told The Hollywood Reporter.

The 46-year-old was driving alone when the fatal incident occurred, according to Christensen, who also confirmed that Young was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to hospital.

In addition to appearing in television productions such as Grey’s Anatomy, Boy Meets WorldFelicity and Numb3rs, he also had small parts in I Love You, Man, Charlie’s Angels, The Artist, Jurassic Park III as well as more films.

He was also a photographer who had profiled celebrity stars, including David Harbour, Seth Green, Emma Caulfield Ford, Kevin Daniels, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Harvey Guillén for a range of publications, including Vanity Fair and Vogue.

Outside of his work as a photographer and actor, Young was the founder of Dream Loud Official, which helps to ensure that music and art programmes are taught in schools.

His publicist, Christensen, said in a statement of Young’s legacy: “Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched. He lived his mission of keeping creativity alive, and his legacy will continue through Dream Loud Official.”

Tributes have begun to pour in from colleagues, including former General Hospital actor Byran Craig, who wrote on Instagram Stories, “This is never the type of article you want to post for someone you know. This is devastating. R.I.P. to a great guy that always had a smile on.”

Actor Parry Shen also wrote, “Brad Everett Young was one of the kindest & generous people I have ever met. But the one trait that made him truly stand out in this business often filled with cynicism, was his indomitable positivity. A huge loss. Rest in peace, friend.”

Young is survived by his brother, Chris.
