AC/DC have reportedly been working on a new record with their former frontman Brian Johnson following his 2016 departure from the band.
Johnson had to leave the group in2016 following some hearing issues. the iconic singer was replaced on the 2016 tour by Axl Rose from Guns ‘N’ Roses.
A reunion was first rumoured last year after claims came in that the band would write a new album with their late rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young on every track. Now, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister has seemingly confirmed that the band will reunite with four original members following the sad passing of Malcolm Young.
Snider isn’t the only member of the rock scene to seemingly confirm the massive reunion. American band Terrorizer looked to confirm the suspicions of fans that Johnson would rejoin AC/DC earlier this year after meeting the singer. The band saw Johnson in an airport and he told them he would feature on the new record.
A further confirmation has come via Behemoth who told Loudwire,“I know there’s a new AC/DC album in the making with Malcolm Young. It’s coming. It’s going to be an outtake from Rock or Bust. What do I expect?”
“I expect nothing more and nothing less, just give me fucking rhythm and Angus and Malcolm’s guitar. Don’t give me anything extra. [Brian Johnson] is back in the band.”
While AC/DC have not yet surfaced to confirm the album but there’s surely no smoke without fire.
THEY SUCK! I'm focused on one band for the 2021 Superbowl half time show: @acdc! Reuniting with new album next year, touring, celebrating 50 years together! https://t.co/4kQWNW9fxM

He died. RIP Malcolm Young. But all four surviving members have reunited WITH tracks recorded by Malcolm while he was still alive. Malcolm's nephew Stevie Young is replacing him (he's done this a couple of times before). It's as close as you can get to the original band. @acdc https://t.co/UQn0xITfWg
