When Nandi Bushell first came to our attention with her epic cover of Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’, the 9-year-old drummer was fast becoming an internet sensation. Now, the drummer has covered The Prodigy’s ‘Voodoo People’.
Following the viral sensation of the Nirvana cover Bushell has thrown another cover out to the masses and it is just as good, if not better than the first. The cover is the young drummer’s first “techno beat” and marks her out as one of the best drummers in the world for her age.
The clip is a similar style to her previous cover, yet Bushell is working extra hard on the fast-paced ‘Voodoo People’ which came out in 1994 on the Music for the Jilted Generation LP.
While this clip is missing the “ARGHHHH” which made us fall in love with her cover of Nirvana, embodying the song’s passion, it does see Bushell laying down some serious fire with the sticks.
She captioned the performance on Twitter, saying, “My first attempt at Hardcore Techo Breakbeats!” Bushell captioned her video. “Voodoo People! This was a lot of fun to jam to! The Prodigy wow!!! What an amazing band, definitely going to jam to more of their songs!”
