Release date confirmed for Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s rom-com ‘The Drama’

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s highly anticipated A24 romantic comedy, The Drama, is officially set for an April 2026 release.

The project is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, widely known for his 2023 Nicolas Cage-fronted film, Dream Scenario. His plot, however, is being largely kept under wraps. All that is evident so far is that Pattinson and Zendaya play a couple whose romance takes an unexpected turn just before their wedding day.

The film will hit cinemas on April 3rd, 2026, in direct competition with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen will produce the film through their Square Peg banner, with Kristoffer Borgli and Tyler Campellone producing under Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24.

The new movie, which finished shooting late last year, also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Gates.

Next year, Zendaya is also set to appear as MJ for the fourth time in Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside her partner, Tom Holland. She will also star alongside Holland in The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s next project. The ‘Challengers’ actor will also reprise her role as Rue Bennett in the third season of Euphoria, which has now resumed filming after several delays.

The Twilight actor also has a past in the superhero genre, having played Batman in Warner Bros’ 2022 superhero movie. Pattinson will next appear in the psychological drama Die, My Love alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
