Yung stream new EP ‘These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores’

If there was ever a reason to get excited about the grey clouds above us, then Yung streaming their new EP has to be one of them.

Falling somewhere between British punk and Mancunian misery tinged post-punk the band have released These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores to a wave of critical acclaim as they pile drive their way in to our consciousness – and my god are they perfect for days like today.

Previously teaching us the ways of Danish Punk through their EP Alter which brought us tracks like ‘A Stain’ the band have moved to add a little more energy in to their sardonic sound. These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores adds a little more bite to their droning bark.

‘Blue Uniforms’ is the stand out hit but the EP reeks of a band comfortable with who they are and what they do – Yung are just that. Not bowing to anything in particular and with a sarcastic face your mother would hammer til her hand hurt, this band are the real deal.

The EP gets its physical release on Sept. 18th via Tough Love Records. Buy it, idiot.
