Unless you’ve been under a rock you’ll know about the wealth of talent in Peckham, South London at the moment. From HMLTD to Shame, Dead Pretties to Goat Girl, there’s a whole heap of talent. One band raising its head above the parapet is YOWL.
The band’s combining of razor sharp guitars, an unmistakable vocal and the sheer force with which they deliver their artistry without conceit makes them stand out members of this Peckham punk scene. ‘My Headache Likes To Speak’ is a continuation of this. The new track is a gilt edged knife ready to surgically remove the mundane from your life with a smile of switchblade fun, and by God we are glad they’re here.
Of the song, the band say“‘My Headache Likes To Speak refers to that anxiety that comes from the cocktail of social pressures and everything surrounding the need to socialise with people, fearing humiliation, and a desire for genuine connection.”
