Yeah Yeah Yeahs end hiatus and announce first show in 4 years

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are officially ending their hiatus and have announced their first live show in four years.

The band will headline this year’s Sound on Sound Festival, which takes place November 10-12 in Sherwood Forest, outside of Austin, Texas.

With the likes of Grizzly Bear, Iggy Pop, The Shins, Dinosaur Jr. and Real Estate all on the same bill, Sound on Sound Festival have opted to show faith in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ comeback show.

The last official performance in the band came during the tour of 2013 album Mosquito. Karen O took time away from the band to launch her 2015 solo album Crush Songs while Nick Zinner returned with his old band Head Wound City.

“Yeah it’s been a minute since we saw you last! We are so psyched to kick out the jams for you . Watch for more news coming soon,” the band said on Twitter,
