Wolf Alice announce ‘The Clearing (B Sides)’ ahead of huge Finsbury Park show

Wolf Alice have confirmed details of their new collection, The Clearing (B Sides).

The three-track release consists of songs they made while recording 2025’s chart-topping and Mercury Prize-nominated album, The Clearing, which didn’t make the LP. It will arrive on vinyl and streaming platforms on August 21st.

To tease the upcoming release, they have shared the moving ‘Gospel Oak’, which is named after a road in North London and inspired by the traditional songs “we all learn at school”, singer Ellie Rowsell said in a statement.

It will be accompanied on The Clearing (B Sides) by ‘Hammond Song’ and ‘Hit The Sky’.

In a statement, Wolf Alice said of the forthcoming release, “These are a few songs we made during ‘The Clearing’ that didn’t make it on the final record, but are ones we love very much, including a cover with two of our fave singers Julia Cumming and Bria Salmena”.

They added, “We’re happy to have found a home for them for you to hear. Enjoy!”

It’s a huge week for Wolf Alice, who are set to play the biggest headline date of their career on July 5th at Finsbury Park in London, where they’ll be joined by The Last Dinner Party, Lykke Li, Rachel Chinouriri, Florence Road, and Keo.

The all-day extravaganza will begin with Florence Road taking to the stage at 1:40pm, with live music carrying on into the evening, with Wolf Alice beginning their set at 7:50pm, which is set to end at 9:30pm.

Wolf Alice have a busy summer ahead with festival sets lined up at Rock Werchter, Nos Alive, Mad Cool, and Phill Good across Europe this month, as well as headlining Tramlines in Sheffield and headlining a huge show in Newcastle.

They will then head to North America to perform at prestigious festivals Lollapalooza and Osheaga, before returning to the UK to headline Kendal Calling and hitting up more European shows.
