Wolf Alice perform mix of Charli XCX and The Cure on Triple J

The Triple J regular slot of ‘Like A Version’ doesn’t need much explaining. Bands perform one of their favourite hits from another band to give their own version… see? Easy.

One such performer recently was bedroom-pop sweetheart Charli XCX who chose to perform a rednition of Wolf Alice’s ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ – it was naturally a bit of a banger. So when Wolf Alice stepped in to the Triple J studios they only had eyes for one act… well, two actually.

The band performed their own track ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’, from 2017’s huge album ‘Visions of a Life’, before jumping up to perform one of the pop hits of 2017, Charli XCX’s ‘Boys’. The track that went viral last year after featuring almost every male artist you could think of.

But Ellie Roswell and Co. weren’t content to just produce a near-perfect cover of the mega-hit, they also went one step further and mixed in some of The Cure’s anthemic ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ for good measure. The results are truly brilliant.

Take a look below to see the cover, and below that for their performance of ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’.
