Wire have announced new reissues of their first three albums.
The band will share 1977’s Pink Flag, 1978’s Chairs Missing, and 1979’s 154 all reissued on CD and vinyl, as well as in a special edition CD set featuring an 80-page hardcover book plus B-sides, rarities, and previously unreleased songs – according to the press release. The special editions are due out May 19, with the standard CD and vinyl sets to follow on June 22.
On top of the reissue news, the band have also announced a Record Store Day exclusive box set of 7″ singles, entitled Nine Sevens, out on April 21.
The limited and rare collection is thought to compile their first six singles for the Harvest Label, a single from 1980 previously unreleased on vinyl, and the rare EP originally given away with first pressings of 154.
