Whitney hit us with a surreal video for ‘Polly’

The new video from Whitney is a surreal masterpiece of animation from Tokyo-based animator Sarina Nihei which took nearly two months to create and is a little odd.

The track appears on the band’s debut album Light Upon the Lake which was released earlier this year and reeks of the band’s effortless style. It is also a fairly reek-y video as it follows one man across go-karting and a dystopian town with surreal looking monsters and sewage, a lot of sewage.

It is all very despairing and the animation is juxtaposed by its somewhat crude and childish design with its incredibly potent dystopia.

Tour dates are below. No sewage is expected.

05/11 Glasgow, CCA
06/11 Newcastle, Cluny
