The music video for Wham! song ‘Last Christmas’ gets 4K restoration

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

To celebrate the festive season, the music video for Wham!’s iconic song ‘Last Christmas’ has been given a full 4K restoration so you can stream it on loop in high definition while you chow down on your sprouts.

The song, written and produced by George Michael, was released on Epic Records in December 1984 as part of a double A-side with ‘Everything She Wants’ and went on to reach the number one spot in eight different countries.

The song, not only a bonafide Christmas classic, but also ended up being one of the most successful charitable efforts after the group donated all of their royalties to the Ethiopian famine at the time of its release.

The video features band members George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley enjoying a ski holiday with girlfriends in the resort of Saas-Fee in Switzerland. The video also featured the duo’s erstwhile backing singers Pepsi and Shirlie and Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp—some classic Christmas factoid’s for you.
