Weezer have shared a brand new song alongside some information on the long-awaited new album The Black Album. The track is a charming ditty titled ‘Zombie Bastards’ and is indicative of the new album’s direction.
The Black Album, has seen frontman Rivers Cuomo go back to basics and sit behind a piano to create most of the songs on the LP, which was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, and will be the band’s 12th studio album. The Black Album will drop on March 1st, 2019. Weezer took to social media to share the cover art of the album.

The press release says the band will show “musical references of everything from Gorillaz, to Can, to Pink Floyd.” on the record. Based on ‘Zombie Bastards’ that influence will be wide-ranging.
