J.J. Abrams latest project Overlord takes us back to one of the most dangerous days in history – D-Day. Although, the 52-year old’s film tackles that day with one caveat which is what would happen if the Allies had come across a load of Nazi zombies after invading Normandy to overthrow the Third Reich? Imagine.
You won’t have to wonder if the Allies discovered Nazi zombies ever longer thanks to the brains of Abrams and co. who have created Overlord – which will be coming to cinemas later this year.
The film was written by Billy Ray who’s known for writing The Hunger Games and Captain Phillips and Mark L. Smith from Vacancy and The Revenant and was directed by Son of a Gun director Julius Avery.
Overlord was at one point thought to be a part of the Cloverfield universe, but Abrams categorically denied this rumour which got fans excited. The film is set to star the likes of Wyatt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, and Pilou Asbaek as well as Jacob Anderson from Game of Thrones.
Overlord will be arriving in US cinemas from October 26th and in cinemas across the UK from October 25th.
