Over the weekend footage emerged of an apparent new film Guava Island which will feature roles for Donald Glover and Rihanna as well as being directed Glover’s longtime film collaborator Hiro Murai.
The trailer premiered at Childish Gambino’s PHAROS festival in New Zealand this weekend and we’ve got a sneak peek through some (kinda shaky) fan footage.
Although the title of the film isn’t mentioned in the trailer, Cuban magazine Vistar reported in August that the project would be titled Guava Island. The same month a photo of Glover and Rihanna emerged which sparked much of the rumours which seem to have been confirmed.
Billed as “A Childish Gambino Film” the flick will also see roles for Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie. Get a load of the trailer below.
