Watch the teaser for Vince Gilligan’s new series ‘Pluribus’
A short teaser clip for the new Apple TV+ series Pluribus, directed by Vince Gilligan, has been released.
The show, which is set to be released on the streaming service in November, will mark the first TV project from Gilligan since his Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, concluded three years ago.
The new short clip from the series, shared on September 30th, is titled ‘Taking Out the Trash’, and simply shows a drone struggling to pick up a plastic bag before it flies away, as a forlorn looking woman watches on.
A similarly enigmatic promotional video was shared for the show last month, in which the same woman, revealed to be a character called Carol, is walking along the street as she realises her shirt is covered in blood, before she sighs and moves out of shot.
Little else is known about the plot of Pluribus – stylised as Plur1bus – at this stage, other than the fact that it follows the character of Carol in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as the only person who is seemingly immune from a virus that has turned everyone else in the world into being constantly happy and optimistic.
The core cast has previously been announced as featuring Rhea Seehorn playing Carol Sturka, Karolina Wydra as Zosia, and Carlos Manuel Vesga as Manusos.
While Pluribus was still in the process of development in 2022, Apple TV+ won the rights from Gilligan and ordered a deal for the show, currently set to last for two series. The first upcoming instalment will consist of nine episodes, with future plans for the second series not yet revealed.
Pluribus is expected to premiere with its first two episodes on Apple TV+ from November 7th this year.
