The newest series of Later… with Jools Holland kicked off last night (May 8) with Shame stealing the headlines with an aggressive rendition of ‘One Rizla’.
The track, taken from their debut album Songs Of Praise, was played with the sort of dissentious gusto we’ve come to know and love from the band. The performance, which saw frontman Charlie Steen strip to his waist, put to… *ahem* shame the likes of fellow performers Snow Patrol who gave a tepid rendition of ‘Chasing Cars’.
And, with an intro to the band themselves, here it is: “Salutations to all who tuned in to our brief foray onto the nation’s televisions last night,” Shame wrote on Twitter. “Watch us performing our hit single ‘One Rizla’ live on Later…with Jools Holland below.”
