Watch Dijon bring out Mk.gee and Justin Vernon in New York

Dijon welcomed special guests Mk.gee and Justin Vernon to the stage in New York to finish off his tour in support of his new album, Baby.

His third New York show at Terminal 5 follows a two-night run at Brooklyn Paramount, as part of a wider tour across North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

In August, Dijon returned with Baby, his sophomore album and follow-up to the widely acclaimed debut, Absolutely. On December 4th, the musician was joined on-stage by a healthy host of frequent collaborators.

Justin Vernon, known most widely as the frontman of Bon Iver, joined Dijon for most of the set. Nick Hakim joined to play the piano, while Mk.gee joined for several songs, to his own round of raucous applause.

Dijon recently teased the news that he will perform on Saturday Night Live, recently posting a picture online from backstage. The American singer was also confirmed as a supporter for Zach Bryan’s 2026 stadium tour.

Vernon’s involvement in the show comes after he made some interesting comments on his former friendship with Kanye West.

The pair struck an unlikely friendship some years ago; Vernon was a guest performer at West’s Coachella set in 2011 and his Glastonbury headline set on the Pyramid Stage in 2015. West has previously called the ‘Rosyln’ singer “my favourite living artist”.

Opening up about their former connection, Vernon shared, “Well, ego is such a powerful thing,” he mused. “And it destroyed my friend.”

Far Out gave his latest album, Sable, Fable, three stars, observing, “Not all new releases need to feel tightly pulled together with clear direction, and often, this approach works in Bon Iver’s favour. However, certain parts stand out more than others, resulting in a slightly disjointed whole that is sometimes let down by its own quiet weaknesses.”
