‘Live from the Drive-In’ gigs have been cancelled

It has been announced that the series of Utilita’s much-debated ‘Live from the Drive-In’ concerts, which were set to feature the likes of The Streets, Tom Grennan, Dizzee Rascal and many more, have all been cancelled.

Ticket owners this afternoon were issued refunds and sent an email from Live Nation informing them that the shows are now no longer going ahead due to local lockdown concerns.

Live Nation’s statement read: “The Live From The Drive-In concert series will no longer proceed as planned this summer. We received huge support from artists, the live music production contractors, our headline sponsor Utilita along with our other partners, and of course you, the fans.

“However, the latest developments regarding localised lockdowns mean it has become impossible for us to continue with the series with any confidence.”

The Snuts, who were due to take part in the series of gigs, have issued the following statement on Twitter: “This was a decision made entirely out-with The Snuts and our team. We have poured a ridiculous amount of our own money and time into preparation for these shows trying to create something really special to bring us all together again. We are properly heartbroken to receive this news.”
