Turkish synth-pop duo Jakuzi share a new video & announce debut London show at The Shacklewell Arms

Istanbul-based synth-pop band Jakuzi have shared another track from their upcoming debut album ‘Fantezi Müzik’.

The new track, ‘Bir Düşmanım Var’, has become a fan favourite for fans during Jakuzi’s live performances.

The idea behind the video is as follows, in the words of the bass and synth player Taner Yücel, who also directed the video: “The song is about inner demons and delusions of grandeur, about being unhappy and failing to clarify where this feeling comes from.

“We had this idea of doing a video in a typical barbershop in Istanbul and base it around a guy who is getting a shave and at the same time having pipe dreams, it’s about someone who is settling a score with himself and his obsession with being successful.”

Following a recent show at the opening of the Independent Film Festival in Istanbul, Jakuzi have announced their debut UK live date as well as dates in Germany and The Netherlands. The band will headline The Shacklewell Arms in London on 1st June 2017.

Live dates:
24.05. DE Berlin – Monarch
25.05. DE Hamburg – Golem
26.05. DE Cologne – King Georg
01.06. UK London – Shacklewell Arms
